We are proud to highlight the remarkable academic achievements of our scholars who have been awarded PhD degrees under BISMA, Jaipur. Their research contributions reflect excellence, dedication, and a strong commitment to knowledge and innovation.
1. Dr. Lavina Dasnani
Ph.D. in Management
Supervisor: Dr. Sanjay Biyani, Director – Biyani Institute of Science and Management, Jaipur
Dr. Lavina Dasani, completed her doctoral research on the title “Financial Proficiency as a Catalyst to Sustainable Development with Special Reference to Women Entrepreneurs in Maharashtra”. This research was done under the supervision of Dr. Sanjay Biyani, Director- Biyani Institute of Science and Management, Jaipur, affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University, Kota.

The study highlighted the importance of financial proficiency and how it is increasingly recognized as a foundational pillar for successful entrepreneurship and sustainable development, particularly among women entrepreneurs who often encounter systemic barriers in accessing financial resources. Her study explored the important aspect of financial literacy, management skills in financially empowering women entrepreneurs in Maharashtra to contribute meaningfully to their overall economic prosperity and development. It identified a critical gap in both academic literature and practical frameworks concerning the intersection of financial proficiency and sustainable development, especially within the regional context of Maharashtra. Women entrepreneurs in this region face many bottlenecks related to financial knowledge, restricted credit availability, and socio-cultural constraints that inhibit their entrepreneurial potential. However, with adequate financial training and support, these women can become powerful agents of change, capable of building resilient businesses that promote sustainable growth.
2. Dr. Sonali Rajput
Ph.D. in Management
Supervisor: Dr. Neeta Maheshwari, Professor, Department of Management Studies, Biyani Institute of Science and Management, Jaipur
Dr. Sonali Rajput was awarded her Ph.D. on title “The Impact of Self Help Groups on Women Entrepreneurship Development in Tribal Districts of Rajasthan” under the supervision of Dr. Neeta Maheshwari, Professor, Department of Management Studies, Biyani Institute of Science and Management, Jaipur, affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University Kota.

The study was about the processes through which Self-Help Groups (SHGs) influence the entrepreneurship of the tribal women in the Rajasthan districts within an Empowerment Theory framework by integrating socioeconomic performance, entrepreneurship feasibility, ecological facilitators (credit, marketing, networks), and women perception. The investigation answered long-standing knowledge gaps in the accessibility of finance, markets, and ability that limits women entrepreneurs in underserved locations and inaccessible evidence regarding whether SHG involvement leads to sustained firm benefits.
3. Dr. Reshma Pamnani
Ph.D. in Management
Supervisor: Dr. Pawan Kumar Patodiya, HOD Research, Biyani Group of Colleges
Ms. Reshma Pamnani, and under the dedicated guidance of my supervisor, Dr. Pawan Kumar Patodiya, have committed years of rigorous academic inquiry to investigate the “Impact of Pre and Post adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards on Financial Health of Selected Listed Indian Companies.”

Choosing to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in the Faculty of Management was her decision driven by a profound fascination with the evolving landscape of global finance and the specific challenges faced by the Indian economy during its transition toward international synchronization. The impetus for her research work stems from the pivotal shift in the Indian accounting paradigm—the move from traditional Indian GAAP to Ind AS (converged IFRS). She chose this specific topic because the “financial health” of a company is not merely a collection of numbers on a ledger; it is the heartbeat of corporate sustainability and investor confidence.
By examining the period before and after this adoption, she uncovered whether the transition truly enhanced transparency, comparability, and the quality of financial reporting, or if it introduced complexities that masked the true economic reality of listed entities. The motivation behind this study was fueled by a desire to provide an empirical bridge between theoretical accounting standards and their practical consequences on the balance sheets of India’s most influential market players.
The pursuit of this PhD is not merely an academic exercise; its utility stretches across the dimensions of policy-making, corporate governance, and investment strategy. The primary use of this research lies in its ability to provide a granular assessment of how regulatory changes influence the perceived solvency and profitability of Indian firms.
For regulators and standard-setters, such as the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), this study serves as a feedback loop, highlighting the strengths and bottlenecks of IFRS implementation. By quantifying the impact on financial ratios and health indicators, the research offers a roadmap for refining future iterations of accounting standards to better suit the unique socio-economic fabric of the Indian market.
Furthermore, this PhD holds significant value for the global and domestic investment community. As India continues to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), investors require a high degree of confidence that financial statements are prepared using a “global language” that is both reliable and predictive.
Ultimately, the utility of this PhD is found in its contribution to a more robust, transparent, and globally competitive Indian financial ecosystem, ensuring that “financial health” remains a clear and honest metric for all who depend on it.
These achievements reflect BISMA Jaipur’s commitment to academic excellence, research innovation, and empowering scholars to contribute meaningfully to society.
